Although the government had announced a ban on the SCBC-TV from the airwaves, reports say it has continued to transmit signals.
The reason is because the channel is broadcast from South Africa, and Cameroonian officials have not been able to persuade South African authorities to take it off air.
The anger of the government is because the opposition reliance on the SCBC-TV for authentic and unbiased news and information about the struggle for independence by the Anglophone region.
The English-speaking regions of Cameroon has seen increased tension in recent months following protests and strikes against marginalisation by the majority Francophone government.
