Nigeria’s Quadri Aruna began his WTT Champions Macao 2025 campaign in emphatic fashion with a straight-games victory over China’s Huang Youzheng in the men’s singles round of 32 on Tuesday.
The world number 26, who has struggled with form in recent months, was dominant at the Macao East Asian Games Dome, defeating the wildcard entrant 11-3, 11-8, 11-8.
Aruna secured 33 points in total, converting 19 on his own serve and 14 on his opponent’s, while Huang managed just 19 points overall.
