Arsenal Football Club has announced that defender Gabriel will miss the remainder of the season after requiring hamstring surgery. The Brazilian international was substituted in the first half during Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
Gabriel has been a key player for the Gunners this season, starting in 28 of the club’s 30 Premier League matches and contributing to the team’s impressive defensive record, which sees them sitting at the top of the league with only 25 goals conceded.
The club has expressed hope that the 27-year-old will make a return in time for the start of the 2025-26 campaign, although the recovery timeline remains uncertain. Arsenal fans and management will now be looking to other squad members to step up in Gabriel’s absence as they push for success in the final stretch of the season.
