The spokesman of the Rivers APC, CHRIS FINEBONE said the party received the news of the postponement of the rerun election with mixed feelings.
In a statement released to the media, CHRIS FINEBONE said APC’s instinctive response is that of huge disappointment considering that the delay would further deny Rivers people parliamentary representation at both the national and state levels.
The APC spokesman said the postponement also piles pressure on candidates of the party to sustain their campaigns until when a new date would be determined.
He said the APC believes that the postponement would not have been necessary if members of the rival party had embraced a more peaceful approach in their campaign for political power.
FINEBONE went on to compare the arson attack on INEC office in Bori to a similar incident of arson that was visited on the Constituency Office of the APC Senatorial candidate for Rivers South-East, Senator MAGNUS ABE also in Bori before the botched rerun elections on 19th March.
