OSINBAJO came out from a closed-door meeting with the National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress, Chief JOHN ODIGIE-OYEGUN yesterday to declare that there was no threat to his position.
Professor OSINBAJO maintained that he was elected on the same ticket with President MUHAMMADU BUHARI, which removes resignation out of the picture.
Professor OSINBAJO has been holding forth as Acting President of Nigeria in the absence of President BUHARI, who is on an extended leave in the United Kingdom.
In a bid to dispel wild speculations about the health of President BUHARI, Professor OSINBAJO disclosed that he had a lengthy telephone conversation with the President on activities of government in his absence.
He said they talked about the national economic plan to get the country out of recession, adding that the President was hale and hearty.
However; Professor YEMI OSINBAJO declined comments on the health condition of President MUHAMMADU BUHARI.
Professor OSINBAJO said President BUHARI would disclose his health status to Nigerians at the appropriate time.
