All Set for Swearing-In of Customary Court Chairmen and Members in Rivers State

All is now set for the swearing-in of chairmen and members of the Customary Courts of the Rivers State Judiciary.

According to a statement signed by the Secretary of the Rivers State Judicial Service Commission, Blessing Vic Jumbo, the event will hold today, Monday, October 13, at 11 a.m., at the Ceremonial Court Hall of the Customary Court of Appeal, Old Aba Road, Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt.

The commission, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2 of the Rivers State Customary Courts Law, approved the appointment of eleven chairmen and twenty-six members to serve in various Customary Courts across the state.

The swearing-in ceremony marks another step in strengthening the operations of the Customary Court system and promoting access to justice at the grassroots level.
