The Chairman of the Federation of Akuku Toru and Opopo-Nkoro Water Consumers, IWARIMIE DIRI, made the called at a media briefing in Port Harcourt.
DIRI said the European Union resolved to cite the water project in the six communities in the two local government areas that are considered to be suffering the most from the problem of access to clean and safe drinking water.
He said communities listed to benefit from the scheme have already complied with the laid down requirements, but the project was being delayed due to lack of commitment by the Rivers State Government.
