ADC MEMBERS PROTEST AT INEC OFFICE IN PORT HARCOURT

Members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State have protested at the INEC office in Port Harcourt, demanding the resignation of the commission’s chairman, Joash Amupitan.

The protesters accused the INEC leadership of bias and partisanship, and criticised the commission for allegedly delisting the party from its portal.

Party leaders at the protest expressed loss of confidence in INEC, while the state chairman-elect vowed resistance against any attempt to undermine the party.

The protesters submitted a letter to INEC through its administrative secretary in the state, with a request for it to be forwarded to the national headquarters.

Placards displayed during the protest carried messages condemning the commission’s leadership.
