A lawsuit filed by ENYINNA NWANKWO seeking to stop the candidate of the APC for the re-run election in Omuma State Constituency in Rivers State, LEO ANYANWU has suffered a setback.The matter before the State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has been adjourned to 7th March by Justice ENEBELI, following a preliminary objection by the All Progressives Congress which is the second respondent.Counsel to the APC, HENRY ODILI, has asked the Court for seven days to enable him respond to the response of the claimant.Justice ENEBELI granted the request, before adjourning the case, as he assured that ruling would be delivered before the date for the re-run election on 19th March.Speaking with newsmen after the court session, counsel to APC, HENRY ODILI threw more light on what transpired in court.Also speaking outside the court; counsel to the claimant, EMEKA OKORO said the respondents were only looking for ways to prevent that matter from being determined on merit.Our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA recalls that CLEMENT NWANKWO had contested the APC ticket for Omuma State Constituency in Rivers State with LEO ANYANWU.
