A Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged bribery allegation. ROBERTS OBUOHA, who is the NDDC Director in charge of Project Management Department, was allegedly picked up for attempting to bribe the EFCC Zonal Head for South-South, ISHAQ SALIHU.EFCC spokesman, WILSON UWUJAREN revealed in a statement published by online-based PR Nigeria that ROBERTS OBUOHA is under investigation in a case of Contract Splitting and over inflation.UWUJAREN said OBUOHA was quizzed and offered administrative bail, but when he reported the next day to perfect his bail, he went to the office of the Zonal Head and offered him the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand naira to buy recharge card.The EFCC spokesman said the NDDC Director later explained that he made the offer to the EFCC Zonal Director in order to build a good relationship with him.He said the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.Authorities at the NDDC Headquarters in Port Harcourt are aware of the arrest of the Director in charge of Project Management Department, ROBERTS OBUOHA, but are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
