Opposition Political Parties Align to Force President of Guinea Bissau to Resign.

International media, Voice of America, VOA reports that the parties planned a joint press conference today ahead of nationwide demonstrations and rallies.
President of the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde, DOMINGOS PEREIRA, said all opposition parties’ supporters are invited for the nationwide activity.
Guinea-Bissau, a former Portuguese colony which gained independence after a war ended in 1970s, is one of the poorest and most unstable countries in Africa.
More than two-thirds of the population lives below the poverty line, according to a World Bank report issued in May 2013.
Since 1994, no elected president in Guinea-Bissau has finished his mandate and the country has witnessed nine coups or attempted coups since 1980.
