Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE has promised to pay the backlog of salaries of security guards attached to government-owned Model Primary Schools.

Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE has promised to pay the backlog of salaries of security guards attached to government-owned Model Primary Schools. The assurance is coming three weeks into the resumption of a new academic session, with the model primary schools remaining closed ever since.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity,  OPUNABO INKO-TARIAH, gave the assurance in an interview with correspondent JUDITH OKAFOR. INKO-TARIAH said Governor WIKE is sensitive to the complaints of the aggrieved security guards, adding that he only knew about the unpaid salaries when the schools resumed. OPUNABO INKO-TARIAH said the PDP Administration in Rivers State inherited enormous liability from the previous APC Government, which accounts for some of the prevailing problems. OPUNABO INKO-TARIAH is the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor of Rivers State.
