Our correspondent gathered that trouble started when some suspected cultist travelled Ibaa to bury the remains of their members who was allegedly killed in a neighbouring village.
It turned out that another cult group that claims supremacy over Ibaa tried to deny the visitors access to the village to bury their comrade, which resulted in a fight.
However; the gunfight that followed attracted men of the Joint Military Task Force who are stationed in Ibaa, as the inhabitants sought shelter elsewhere.
Our source said the shooting attracted the attention of joint military taskforce deployed in the community who went in search of the hoodlums thereby causing fear on the inhabitants.
Emerging but unconfirmed reports indicate that the three missing persons may have been killed and their bodies dumped at Ime-Ewue forest, which is located around Omuahana village.
A security personnel who confirmed the development at Ibaa to our correspondent, vowed that those behind the latest round of violence would be apprehended.
