Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that the Committee was given two weeks to conclude its assignment and report back to the Senate in plenary.
The Senate took the decision on resumption of plenary today after the weekend break leading up to the May Day holiday.
You will recall that the Senate had suspended consideration of the request by President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to confirm the incoming Resident Electoral Commissioners.
The Senate’s action was in protest over the failure by the President to act on its rejection of IBRAHIM MAGU as Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
