The demand was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the State Executive Council meeting of the NLC.
The State Secretary of the NLC, OLABE MATTHEW who read the communiqué, in which the union also demanded the immediate stoppage of all forms of deductions being made on the salaries of civil servants.
On her part, Rivers State NLC Chairman, BEATRICE ITUBO said the labour movement does not have any issue with the state government but with the activities of the Head of Service.
ITUBO also denied being an appointee of the last administration; stressing that her membership of the Primary Healthcare Board was a requirement of the law.
Correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA reports that the NLC also demanded for an account of the One Hundred Million Naira Rivolving Loan Scheme set aside by previous administrations for the benefit of workers.
