Officials said several other top officials were also in the convoy, including the commander of the Presidential Guard, NAJMI NAKU, and the head of the High State Council, ABDELRAHMAN SWEHLI.
SARRAJ has been trying to restore some semblance of unity to the country, which has been wracked by years of unrest.
