Our correspondent LEVI ISU reports that the repentant cultists and criminals have also sealed their resolution with a prayer oath and consecration at the Father Ede Catholic Church in Elele.
Some of the youths who identified themselves as CHRISTOPHER HENETU and MIKE AMAECHI said they decided to give peace a chance in the interest of the development of Ubima community.
They said they were bound by the oath from committing crimes, adding that cultism, killing and kidnappings have become a thing of the past in the area.
Elsewhere at Ibaa community in Emohua Local Government Area, some repentant cultists in the area have also attended a prayer session to solidify their resolve to shun anti-social behavious.
Our correspondent was at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church at Ibaa where Pastor KALANGO encouraged the youths to focus on God and everything will work well with them.
Our correspondent VERA AMADI reports that other stakeholders, including the Chairman of the Community Development Committee, were excited about the commitment to peace by the repentant cultists.
