Edo House of Assembly pass state’s budget of N153b for 2017.

The budget consists of seventy-five point eleven billion naira for capital expenditure, while the proposed recurrent expenditure is seventy-four point nine billion naira.

 

Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Appropriation and Project Monitoring, DAMIAN LAWANI said the budget reflected the needs of the people and has been designed to consolidate and complete all ongoing projects.

 

The sum of seventy-six point six billion naira has been allocated for capital expenditure, while seventy-six point five billion naira is for re-current expenditure.

 

Governor GODWIN OBASEKI of Edo had on 19th December, 2016 presented a budget proposal of one hundred and fifty billion naira to the Assembly for consideration and passage.

 

The Assembly, after the consideration of the document with amendments, passed the bill.
