The State PDP claimed that its Chairman, FELIX OBUAH and Governor NYESOM WIKE are among notable leaders of the party that are allegedly being targeted in the police probe.
In a statement released by the media assistant to the State PDP Chairman, the party claimed that the rival All Progressives Congress appeared to be plotting to take advantage of the panel set up by the Inspector-General of Police.
It alleged that the services of some notorious gangsters have been contract for the alleged hatchet job to frame up Governor NYESOM WIKE and FELIX OBUAH over the murder of ASP MOLID ALKALI and his orderly around ONELGA, during the elections.
OBUAH’s spokesman, JERRY NEEDAM said the hatchet men are still in the process of negotiating payment and have been given the phone numbers of the State Governor and the State PDP Chairman.
He said the idea is for the so-called hatchet men to reflect the phone numbers on their own phones, to give the impression that they had been in regular communication with the Governor and the PDP Chairman as their allies.
NEEDAM claim that the same hatchet men would in turn be arrested with arms and ammunition and accused, and would upon interrogation, admit that they were sent to carry out the killings by the Governor and the PDP Chairman.
