Hearing continued yesterday at the Rivers State House of Assembly Tribunal sitting in Abuja, with nine petitions listed for mention.
The first session featured petitions filed by ANDREW ANDERSON MILLER of the APC against DIRI KELLY ADONYE of the PDP; as well as WALI BELIEF of the APC versus MICHAEL OKECHUKWU CHINDA of the PDP.
Others were INNOCENT BARIATE BARIKOR of the APC against ISREAL LEBURA of the PDP; as well as UKECHUKWU AKARA of the APC against CANDIDATE CHISOM PROMISE of the PDP, and LEGBOSI NWIDADAH of APC against the PDP and its candidate.
Counsel to the various parties told the Justice MOHAMMED SIFAWA-led panel that they have filed all responses, and also went further to adopt them during separate sessions. The above cases were all adjourned till the 26th day of August for continuation of pre-hearing.
Our Abuja correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that the second witnessed the preliminary stage of the petitions filed by FRIDAY NUBARI NKERE of APC versus INEC, PDP and its candidate. There was also the petition filed by COLLINS CHUKWUEMEKA against INEC PDP and its candidate; as well as that of AMAEWHULE MARTINS CHIKE against INEC, PDP and its candidate.
The petition of VICTOR AMADI of APC against INEC, PDP and its candidate; that of GOLDEN NGOZI CHIOMA of the APC against INEC, PDP and its candidate were also listed for hearing.
