NMA call for implementation of National Health Act of 2014.

This followed a warning by the Nigerian Medical Association to the Federal Government over unpaid entitlements of medical doctors in government health institutions.

The NMA’s demands are based on the provisions of the National Health Act of 2014, which the association considers to be nonnegotiable.

The demands were made during a protest march to the Presidential Villa in Abuja by a group of doctors mobilized by the Nigerian Medical Association.

The group led by NMA President, Doctor MIKE OGIRIMA promised to return to the Presidential Villa every two weeks until their demands are met.

The demonstration formed part of activities lined up by the NMA for the commemoration of the annual Physicians Week.
