Of particular interest to the state governors are efforts that are geared towards promoting agriculture as a means to tackle recession in the system.
This was the position of the Nigerian Governors Forum at the meeting of the National Economic Council in Abuja.
It was the opinion of the state governors that the dwindling power supply in the country was due to gas pipeline vandalism.
They equally commended the federal government for looking towards wind and solar energy as a means to boost power supply in the country.
The meeting at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa was presided over by Vice President YEMI OSINBAJO.
The Finance Minister, KEMI ADEOSUN and the Minister of Budget and National Planning, UDOMA UDO UDOMA as well as the CBN Governor, GODWIN EMEFIELE were also in attendance to brief the council.
