Amnesty: Cult groups around Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area not ready to surrender arms.

This information emerged as the Rivers State Amnesty Programme Committee plans to visit ONELGA to receive repentant cultists and criminals.

One of the Greenlander group in Omoku who identified himself as NATH UKWUOSA said they are in support of the Amnesty Programme but require more time to mobilize all of their members to turn in their arms.

Meanwhile; the Rivers State Amnesty Committee is going ahead with its visit to Omoku town today where a reception has been planned for some repentant cultists and criminals.

The Chairman of the committee and Special Adviser to the Governor on Amnesty, KENNETH CHINDA gave this indication in a telephone conversation with our correspondent.

However; CHINDA said cultists and criminals who are willing to turn a new leaf but are yet undecided about coming forward today would have another opportunity when the Amnesty Committee makes its return visit to ONELGA tomorrow.
