The Federal Government says it has no plans to increase electricity tariffs in the country.
The Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, disclosed this on Monday in Abuja during a media parley marking his first 100 days in office, covering the period from June 8 to September 16.
Tegbe said he received several calls over the weekend following reports that the Federal Government was planning an upward review of electricity tariffs.
The minister, however, dismissed the reports, assuring electricity consumers that there was no plan by the government to increase tariffs.
