Dutch club Ajax have confirmed the departure of striker Wout Weghorst following the expiration of his contract.
The former Burnley and Manchester United forward has joined FC Twente on a two-year deal, where he reunites with his former Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, who is now the club’s technical director.
Weghorst joined Ajax in the summer of 2024 and is currently part of the Netherlands squad at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
