Mexican govt sack police chief following allegations of killing at least twenty-two suspected members of a drugs cartel.

President ENRIQUE PENA NIETO said he approved the dismissal of GALINDO to allow for transparent investigation of the suspicious high death toll.

A report says the killings took place last year at a ranch in the western state of Michoacán, but officers said they had returned fire in self-defence.
