The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, in collaboration with the World Health Organisation, has launched a unified national health promotion and communication framework. The initiative emerged after a four-day technical workshop involving stakeholders from federal and state health ministries, development partners and public health experts.
Officials said the framework is designed to harmonise health messaging, improve public awareness and strengthen preventive healthcare across the country. The plan also includes governance structures and sustainable financing mechanisms to support health promotion activities over the next five years, with emphasis on community engagement and coordinated communication during public health emergencies.
