The Commissioner for Health, Doctor NICHOLAS AZINGE confirmed that the deceased Lassa fever victim was a medical doctor who owned a hospital in Asaba.
AZINGE said the doctor died three hours after admission at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, after a blood sample confirmed to be positive.
Thirty two people who were said to have made contact with the deceased have been quarantined.
However; the wife of the doctor is said to have tested negative to the virus, while hospitals visited by the late doctor have been disinfected.
