Women in Rivers State, under the platform of Women Unite for SIM, have renewed their commitment to sustained prayers for peace and unity across the state.
The group reaffirmed their position during the January prayer meeting, themed “Ebenezer: Our Hope and Help,” held in Port Harcourt.
In her remarks, former Commissioner for Environment, Professor Roseline Konya, expressed optimism that the current political tensions in the state would soon subside.
The guest speaker, Apostle Opuaya Agha, urged women to remain united in prayer and seek divine intervention for lasting peace, while Pastor Eno Jerry Eze commended the initiative, noting the significance of starting the year with focused prayers for the state.
Our correspondent reports that the meeting also featured special intercessory prayers aimed at promoting peace and stability across Rivers State.
