Tinubu Seeks Senate Confirmation of 21 Nominees for Petroleum Regulatory Boards

President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate, seeking confirmation of 21 nominees for the boards of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission.

In one of the letters, the President nominated Senator Magnus Abe as board chairman of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission.

Abe, a two-term senator who represented Rivers South East, is a former board member of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) and currently serves as chairman of the National Agency of the Great Green Wall.

The nomination was disclosed in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
