The Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Rivers State has announced plans to reposition itself to take over a larger political space ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The state Chairman of the party, Dr. Danagogo Wenike-Briggs, disclosed this while speaking to journalists shortly after an executive meeting of the party. He noted that the YPP is attracting growing interest from key political stakeholders who are considering joining the party in Rivers State.
Speaking on the festive season, Dr. Wenike-Briggs, who was the YPP’s 2023 governorship candidate, urged security agencies, particularly the Police, to strengthen measures across the state to ensure a peaceful celebration for residents.
