Arokodare Targets Win as Wolves Face Chelsea in Carabao Cup Clash

Tolu Arokodare says he is determined to help Wolverhampton Wanderers secure victory over Chelsea in their Carabao Cup encounter at the Molineux Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Nigerian forward, who scored in the previous round against Everton, believes a strong performance against Chelsea could give Wolves much-needed momentum amid their struggles in the Premier League this season.

“Obviously, it’s not going to be an easy game because of the team and the stage we are in the tournament, and also because of our previous results in the league,” Arokodare told the club’s official website. “But so far in the Carabao Cup, we’ve been doing pretty good, and we’re going to try to continue that.”

He added that the competition offers a refreshing break from league challenges. “It’s nice to take our minds off the Premier League a little bit and focus on something else, but it’s still football. It’s a home game, and hopefully our fans will be behind us as always, and we’ll come out with the win.”

The 24-year-old has made substitute appearances in Wolves’ last four Premier League matches but is hopeful of starting against Chelsea.

“I’m very hungry,” he said. “You have to earn your place on the pitch, and I’m working hard for that. The coach knows what he’s doing, and I’m learning and being patient. If I get the chance to play tomorrow, I’ll give everything — enjoy myself, help the team, and hopefully, we win and I score again.”
