The Nigerian Army, Six Division, has commended its officers and men for their role in combating oil theft and safeguarding critical national assets.
The General Officer Commanding the division, Major General E. Emeka, gave the commendation at the opening of a two-day training for finance and accounts officers in Port Harcourt. He said the deliberate and committed efforts of troops have contributed to the steady rise in crude oil revenue this year.
Major General Emeka added that the training provides a unique platform for professionals to exchange knowledge and ideas to enhance efficiency.
Declaring the training open, the Chief of Accounts and Budget (Army), Major General Adetokunbo Fayemiwo, represented by the Commandant of NASFA, Major General Monday Ihanuwaaze, praised the division for its dedication to achieving set goals and emphasized the benefits of capacity building in financial management.
The training, themed “Digital Finance Innovation: Building Competent Six Division Finance Personnel for Smart Financial Management of Nigerian Army Resources,” continues today.
