Ola Aina Undergoes Successful Hamstring Surgery, Out for Three Months

Nigeria international Ola Aina has confirmed that he has successfully undergone surgery on a hamstring injury, which is expected to sideline him for about three months.

The Nottingham Forest defender shared the update on Instagram on Tuesday, posting a video from his hospital bed with straps on his right leg before later moving around with the aid of crutches.

According to the video, the procedure was carried out on September 13. Aina expressed gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their support during his recovery journey.

“I just finished having my first surgery and I want to say thank you for all the support and the messages. It is all in God’s timing, this is God’s plan,” the Super Eagles star said.

Aina’s absence is expected to be a blow to both Nottingham Forest’s campaign in the Premier League and Nigeria’s preparations for upcoming international fixtures.
