This is because of a letter presented by the counsel to the Rivers State Government, GODWIN OBLA, informing the Appellate Court that he traveled overseas.
Following the development; the presiding appellate court judge, Justice GARBA UMAR fixed 3rd August to take arguments on all pending applications before the court.
Our correspondent reports that another Senior Advocate of Nigeria, LATEEF FAGBEMI represented OJUKAYE FLAG-AMACHREE in court today.
OJUKAYE is facing a two count charge of murder and conspiracy, for which he was remanded in prison custody on the orders of Justice MARGARET OPARA of the High Court in Port Harcourt.
While the two-count charge was still pending, the Rivers State Government slammed additional five counts of murder, conspiracy and attempted murder against the accused person.
The second set of charges are being handled by the Chief of Judge of Rivers State, Justice IYAYI LAMIKANRA.
