The Amayanabo of Elem Kalabari community, Asari Dokubo, has pledged to transform the community into a thriving tourist hub in Rivers State. The monarch made the announcement during his 61st birthday celebration in the community.
Speaking at the event, King Asari Dokubo stated that Elem Kalabari had been neglected for 140 years, but he is committed to bringing people-oriented development to the area. He expressed his vision to revitalize the community and make it a major destination for tourists.
The Chairman of the Council of Chiefs of Elem Kalabari Community, Okiye Evans, commended King Asari Dokubo for his efforts in attracting development to the community. “We are grateful for the Amayanabo’s leadership and vision for Elem Kalabari,” he said.
Other community leaders, including Igbikikonte Samuel Suku (Chairman of Community Development Committee), Birggs Tamunotonye (Youth President), and Vivian Igelenwo (Women Leader), also praised King Asari Dokubo as a selfless leader who is committed to the growth and development of the community.
