Rivers State CP Out, barely two weeks incharge

This is because FOLUSHO ADEBANJO has been promoted to a Deputy Inspector-General and subsequently appointed into the Management Team of the Nigeria Police Force.

ADEBANJO is to take charge of Information and Communication Technology Department at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The appointment of ADEBANJO was announced alongside six other new DIGs in a statement signed by the Head of Press and Public Relations of the Police Service Commission, IKECHUKWU ANI.

Other officers promoted to DIG and appointed to the Police Management Team include SHUAIBU GAMBO who was promoted from the rank of AIG to take charge of the Finance and Administration Department at the Force Headquarters.

CP JOSHAK HABILA steps in as DIG in charge of the Department of Operations; CP MAIGARI ABBATI DIKKO moves up to DIG in charge of the Department of Logistics and Supply; while CP H. M. DAGALA takes charge as DIG in charge of Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.

Others are CP EMMANUEL INYANG who is now the DIG in charge of the Department of Training and   Development; CP NTOM CHUKWU is the DIG in charge of the Department of Research and Planning; while CP ABDUL BUBE was also promoted to Assistant Inspector-General and appointed into the Police Management Team as Force Secretary.

The statement noted that the Police Service Commission has conveyed the approval of the promotions and appointments into the Police Management Team to the Inspector-General of Police for implementation.

The statement quoted the Chairman of the Commission; Sir MIKE OKIRO saying that the affected officers would be issues their promotion letters in due course.
