The blast from a lorry packed with explosives also injured two hundred and twenty-five people in the Shia dominated Karrada district of Baghdad.
The bombing targeted families who were shopping for the holiday to mark the end of the Muslim Ramadan month.
The so-called Islamic State terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack; which rescuers said wiped out whole families.
Prime Minister HAIDER AL-ABADI visited the area yesterday but his convoy was greeted by angry crowds.
The attack comes in the heat of intensified military pressure on the Islamic State group which occupied large swathe of territories in Iraq.
