The protests are happening simultaneously in several cities across Kenya, amidst claims that the police had engaged in a pattern of extrajudicial killings.
The protest was called following the discovery of the body of a human rights lawyer, WILLIE KIMANI and his client, JOSEPHAT MWENDA.
KIMANI and MWENDA had disappeared alongside the driver of the rights lawyer, JOSEPH MUIRURI who is also believed to have been killed but his body has not been found.
Three officers linked to the disappearance of the three individuals have been arrested, although the police have denied involvement in the killings.
