This comes following the resurgence of militancy and attacks on oil and gas installation in oil-bearing communities in the Niger-Delta region.
When the police chief stopped at the Office of Delta State Governor, IFEANYI OKOWA, he suggested that one of the strategies being adopted to tackle crimes in the country is the formation of what is to be known as Eminent Persons Forum in collaboration with State Governments and various communities.
He said the Eminent Persons Forum would be charged with conflict resolution arbitration.
In the meantime; the Acting Inspector General of Police has ordered all Zonal Headquarters and Command Commissioners of Police to ensure adequate security in their areas of responsibilities throughout the duration of the Ramadan celebration.
He directed that police officers should be deployed evenly to cover the highways, worship and recreation centres, government institutions and installations and all vulnerable points in order to give Nigerians a sense of safety and security.
