The murder trial of Rivers APC chieftain Delayed.

This is due to the worsening health condition of the former chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government council.
When the matter came up before the State High Court in Port Harcourt; Justice MARGRETT OPARA disclosed that she had received a letter from the authorities of the Port Harcourt Prisons.
The letter informed the court about the poor health condition of the accused person, which made it impossible for him to be brought to court.
Our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that Justice MARGRETT OPARA has adjourned the matter till 20th and 21st of September.
Speaking to newsmen outside the courtroom, the defence counsel, EMENIKE EBETE recalled how the court refused to grant bail to his client on health grounds.
The lawyer maintained that it was necessary for the accused to stay alive and face his trial.
Our correspondent, UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that the Prosecution counsel of the Rivers State Government declined to speak to journalists on the development in court.
