Former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel SAMBO DASUKI, has secured an order of the Abuja High Court to access his lawyers.

The Court Order is made binding on the Federal Government, and provides that DASUKI should be allowed to see his lawyers during working hours to enable him defend himself in the charged brought against him by government.Justice HUSSEIN BABA-YUSUF gave the order following an application by DASUKI’s lead counsel, JOESPH DAUDU.The Senior Advocate of Nigeria had told the Court that he could not access his client to get enough information for his defence.DASUKI is standing trial alongside former Director of Finance in the Office of the National Security Adviser, SHUAIBU SALISU, and ‎former NNPC Executive Director, AMINU BABA-KUSA.They are accused of diversion of thirteen billion naira meant for the purchase arms for the Nigerian Military to fight the Boko Haram terrorist grou.The court has adjourned the case till 3rd May for continuation.
