The Police Service Commission has stepped into the alleged abduction of the Bayelsa State teenage girl, ESE ORURU, threatening to invoke its constitutional power to discipline erring officers.The fourteen-year-old girl was rescued by the police in Kano where she was alleged converted to Islam and married off without the consent of her parents.In its first official statement on the scandal, the Police Service Commission threatened to deal any police officer found culpable in the abduction saga, no matter how highly placed.Statement released by the Head of Press and Public Relations, IKECHUKWU ANI, noted that the PSC was waiting for the outcome of investigation ordered by the Inspector General of Police, SOLOMON ARASE, to determine the role of some police officers in the saga.The PSC said any Police Officer who is found to have compromised either by omission or commission will be flushed out.It commends the Inspector General of Police for his swift action in rescuing the teenager and ensuring that she was immediately reunited with her family.
