The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Rivers State, DAKUKU PETERSIDE, says the Supreme Court judgment against his election petition provides an opportunity to demonstrate his “Greater Together” campaign slogan.In a statement in reaction to the judgment by the seven-man panel of justices of the Supreme Court, PETERSIDE said the legal battle instituted by the APC was not merely because of the quest for power for its sake; but an attempt to deal with the virus of electoral violence that often thwarts the will of the people.PETERSIDE said although the Supreme Court did not agree with position of his party, he and his associates are grateful to God for the wisdom to pursue justice rather than resort to self-help.In more reactions; the APC Chairman in Omuma Local Government Area, CHARLES AMEFULE, urged supporters of the party to remain strong and prepare for the coming re-run elections.The APC Chairman also dismissed the possibility of members of the party defecting to the ruling party in Rivers State because of the judgment of the Supreme Court.
