This is coming five days after the ruling party postponed the unveiling with no reason given for the shift in date.
Shettima was meant to have been presented to party members at the APC national Secretariat on July 14, but an APC official told newsmen that the event has been moved forward.
But the APC National Organizing Secretary, Suleiman Argungu in a statement said the exercise will now take place by 1pm today at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
The ruling party had received backlash from concerned Nigerians, religious leaders, opposition parties and the Christian Association of Nigeria over its decision to fly a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
