1,540 Officers Promoted in Nigerian Police Force

 
Officers promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police account for the highest number at one thousand, five hundred and forty.
 
Also; one commissioner of police was promoted to Assistant Inspector-General of Police, while ten Assistant Commissioners of Police were promoted to Deputy Commissioners of police.
 
Similarly, five officers were promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police to Assistant Commissioner of Police; six Superintendents of Police were elevated to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police; just as four Deputy Superintendents of Police moved up to the rank of Superintendent of Police.
 
The promotions were announced in the statement released by the Head of Press and Public Relations of the Police Service Commission, IKECHUKWU ANI.
 
The statement quoted the PSC Chairman, Sir MIKE OKIRO confirming that the names of the promoted officers have been forwarded to the Inspector General of Police, SOLOMON ARASE for further actions.
