more than three point four million homes have been left without electricity, as Hurricane Irma blast up the west coast of Florida in the United States.

Reports say parts of the city of Miami are under water from the tropical, which is now bearing down on the city of Tampa.

 

Irma made landfall on Marco Island off Florida's west coast with winds of up to one hundred and twenty kilometers per hour, but has since been downgraded from category three to two.

 

Three storm-related deaths have been reported, as Irma moves northwards, while six point three million people in Florida had been told to evacuate.

 

 

The US National Hurricane Center has warned that hurricane conditions are continuing across portions of the central Florida peninsula.

 

Hurricane Irma has already devastated parts of the Caribbean, killing at least twenty-eight people.

 

Meanwhile; President DONALD TRUMP has approved a major disaster declaration and emergency federal aid for Florida.

 

TRUMP described the hurricane as a big monster, just as he praised the federal agencies involved with the storm operations.
