Odili made the comment at the 3rd Convocation and 6th Founders’ Day ceremonies of Pamo University of Medical Sciences, where he said the governor has hit the ground running.
This is coming amid the political unrest in the state, following the rift between Governor Fubara and Nyesom Wike, which has greatly affected the State Assembly.
President Bola Tinubu has, however, intervened on the crisis and brokered some level of peace between the two parties.
Meanwhile, Public Interest Lawyers in Rivers State also known as the People’s Advocate say the resolution reached by Governor Siminalayi Fubara and former Governor Nyesom Wike, following the intervention of President Bola Tinubu is unconstitutional and must be thrown away.
The state coordinator of the organization, Nsirimovu Courage in an interview with Today FM’s Sandra Kenneth reminded the Federal Government that Rivers State is not governed by the President.
He noted that states operate by the Constitution which he said the president has violated through his resolution.
The organization, however, rejected the resolution and called on Rivers citizens to join and reject the “illegal resolution”.
