Governor NYESOM WIKE made the declaration while handing over fifty-seven cars that were purchased for magistrates in Rivers State.
Governor WIKE claimed that multinational oil companies in the state were responsible for encouraging criminal activities through the award of pipeline surveillance contracts to hoodlums.
In the meantime; the Rivers State Governor charged judicial officers to do justice to all cases, notwithstanding the magnitude.
Governor WIKE equally advised Magistrates to use the vehicles given to them to enhance the discharge of their official assignment.
The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice IYAYE LAMINKARA and the State’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, EMMA AGUMA, expressed the hope that the Magistrates would perform better with the encouragement of the government.
Our correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that State High Court and Customary Court judges, as well as members of the Rivers State Executive Council were present at the presentation of the official vehicles for magistrates.
