Here in Rivers State, such incident was witnessed around Woji community in Obio-Akpor where a three-storey building collapsed construction.
Following the development; the Nigerian Building Institute has called on the state government to review the existing building code.
State Vice President of the Institute, AKIN BAMAKE said there was need for government to commence the implementation of building control measures through the Ministry of Urban Development.
BAMAKE said the move would help to ensure that only professionals and the right materials are used for building construction.
Our correspondent recalls that there was no casualty in the collapsed three-storey building under construction at Golden Valley Estate in Woji.
